[---> General Information <---]

The purpose of this program is to grant you the ability to convert one or
multiple Star Trek: Elite Force II texture files (in ".DDS") into more
popular image formats. You have the choice between BMP, JPG (maximum
quality), PNG and TGA (RLE-compressed).

Its usage is pretty straightforward, so I won't comment it. However, note
that the "Save As" dialog will close before your requested conversions are
performed; therefore, this is a system sound event which will notice you the
end of the process: "Exclamation" in case of success or "Critical Error" in
case of at least one conversion failure.

DDScv will save your input directory as well as your preferred file format
in order to restore them the next time you will run it :) The log file will
record its operations, so should you encounter any problem, feel free to check
it: a line text appearing in red means an error and in yellow a warning. If
you are faced with a repeating error, send me your log file.

Because I don't know the size of the "Open" dialog (which varies depending
on the system settings), it is possible that DDScv dialogs don't open in
the center of your monitor as initially intended. Myself, I use big fonts and
then their size is about 760x570. With this size, they will appear centered,
whatever your screen resolution, if not ??? Anyway, if this raises a problem
for you, contact me.

[---> The Bottom Line <---]

Depending on the tools that Ritual will release, it may be possible that I
make a program that will perform the inverse of what does DDScv, i.e.
converting popular image files into DDS ones. I know there is a file at
EFFiles that does this (nvdxt_tools.zip) but the command line tool is not
very user-friendly plus the PhotoShop plugin doesn't seem to work in Paint
Shop Pro (no "OK" button ...).

Well, pending an other program, I hope you will enjoy this one!
